We're looking for a proactive, organised and dependable Night Dispatcher to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a newly created role, giving you the chance to make a real impact and help shape the way the position develops. We're looking for someone who doesn't just want to do the job, but someone who wants to take ownership, bring ideas to the table and make the role their own.

You'll be responsible for coordinating nightly deliveries, supporting drivers and ensuring our transport operation runs smoothly and efficiently. For much of the shift you'll work independently, before being joined by additional team members from 2am, so confidence, initiative and self-motivation are essential.

This is a fast-paced and varied role that will suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes ownership of their workload and thrives in a position of responsibility.

What You'll Be Doing

- Coordinating and dispatching nightly delivery routes, ensuring all vehicles are picked, loaded and leave on time.

- Managing route efficiency, resolving issues and making route adjustments when required.

- Acting as the main point of contact for drivers, supporting with queries, paperwork, delivery instructions and incident reporting.

- Booking customer deliveries, coordinating third-party transport and arranging couriers when necessary.

- Completing key dispatch administration, including manifests, delivery documentation, returns processing and exception management.

- Monitoring upcoming routes and proactively identifying potential operational challenges before they arise.

- Working closely with Transport, Dispatch and wider operational teams to maintain excellent service levels.

What We're Looking For

- Reliable and trustworthy, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

- Organised and able to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.

- A strong communicator who can build effective relationships with drivers, customers and colleagues.

- Proactive and solution-focused, with the confidence to make decisions and resolve issues.

- Comfortable balancing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

- Someone who enjoys responsibility and wants the opportunity to shape and develop a newly created role.

Why Join Us?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business where you can genuinely make an impact. As a brand-new position within the team, you'll have the autonomy to influence processes, suggest improvements and help shape the future of the role.

If you're looking for a challenging and rewarding position where no two nights are the same, we'd love to hear from you.
