About The Role

This is an exciting role for somebody looking to further develop their experience working in a bespoke setting, supporting individuals with physical and learning disabilities. This opportunity enables you to have a balanced life with your work and personal life. Offering full day shifts and short shifts.

The ideal candidate will be compassionate, enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills.

Shift patterns are days starting from 7am including sleep shifts too.

Day to day duties include:

Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting

Assist individuals in a college setting

Attend classes including cooking classes, art classes and physical activities

Attend events and day trips with individuals

Supporting individuals with household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry

Supporting service users in a swimming pool

As a temporary Support Worker at AJ, you will provide care and support to adults with autism, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, dementia, sensory impairments and behaviours that challenge.

Requirements

    • At least 6 months previous professional experience in Social Care within the UK
    • Experience caring for individuals with complex care needs
    • Experience supporting individuals with autism and epilepsy
    • Being a driver with access to your own vehicle is desirable
