Are you a friendly, patient and enthusiastic person who enjoys making a positive difference in someone’s life? We are looking for a caring and supportive Personal Assistant to support a lady in her 50s who lives independently and has autism and an anxiety disorder.

The role is about providing practical and emotional support to help her maintain her independence, feel confident and enjoy a fulfilling and active lifestyle. Although she lives alone and is independent with her personal care, she would benefit from some assistance with light household tasks, cleaning, organising her home and shopping.

You will also provide occasional support with arranging and organising health appointments and hairdressing appointments, helping her stay on top of any commitments that come up. An important part of the role will be supporting her to access the community, enjoy social activities and build her confidence in exploring new opportunities.

She enjoys going out for coffee, visiting different places and spending time socialising. She would like to discover new activities, explore local opportunities and take part in activities that promote her social wellbeing, confidence and physical fitness.

We are looking for someone who is approachable, understanding, reliable and patient, with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in supporting others. You should be able to offer encouragement without being overbearing, respect her independence and understand the importance of providing reassurance and support in a way that is sensitive to her autism and anxiety.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships and helping another person make the most of everyday life.

If you are friendly, proactive and passionate about helping people live independently, develop their interests and enjoy new experiences, we would love to hear from you!
