Secondary Supply Teacher (QTS) - Flexible Day-to-Day Roles in Plymouth

Looking for teaching flexibility without the extra workload? We are seeking reliable, adaptable Secondary Cover Teachers with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join our team, delivering day-to-day supply across secondary schools in Plymouth. If you love being in the classroom but want to leave the late-night marking and lesson planning behind, this is the ideal role for you.

Competitive Daily Rates: Earn £130 - £160 per day depending on experience.

Zero Planning & Marking: Step into the classroom, deliver the provided work, and finish your day at 3:30 PM with your evening completely free.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across various secondary subject areas and key stages (KS3/KS4).
• Maintain a positive, productive classroom environment using effective behaviour management strategies.
• Ensure student safety, welfare, and engagement throughout the school day.
• Follow individual school policies and leave clean, detailed handovers for returning subject teachers.

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential (ECTs/NQTs and experienced teachers are all welcome to apply).

• Strong classroom presence and adaptable communication skills.
• An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Full right to work in the UK.

Location: Plymouth & Surrounding Areas

Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
