Working closely with cross-functional engineering teams, you will contribute to design decisions from concept through to validation, ensuring solutions meet requirements for performance, reliability, durability, manufacturability, cost and serviceability.

You will also provide technical leadership on complex components and projects, supporting design reviews and helping drive robust engineering decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design activities for components and subsystems.
  • Develop and optimise design concepts using
  • Creo and relevant engineering tools.

  • Lead and contribute to formal design reviews and technical decision-making.
  • Apply

  • Develop CAD models and support system-level analysis, including FEA.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear, verifiable engineering requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve product issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with electrical, electronic, manufacturing and other engineering disciplines.
  • Provide technical direction and support within project teams.
  • Lead smaller projects or take ownership of complex components and systems.
  • Support the development and improvement of engineering processes and ways of working.
  • Share technical knowledge and provide guidance to less-experienced engineers and technical staff.

About You

You will be an experienced

Senior or Lead Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in mechanical design and product development.

You should have:

  • A
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.

  • Proven experience at Senior/Lead Engineer level within a relevant engineering environment.
  • Strong mechanical design and CAD modelling experience.
  • Experience with
  • Creo; Creo Cabling would be highly advantageous.

  • Knowledge of
  • GD&T, DFMEA/iDFMEA and Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA).

  • Experience with
  • ANSYS Workbench or similar engineering analysis tools.

  • Experience working with
  • PLM systems such as Windchill.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and product development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience managing complex requirements and making sound engineering decisions.
