Are you a resilient and inspiring individual committed to helping students reset their behaviour and overcome barriers to learning? We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor Level 1 (Isolation) to lead and manage our internal exclusion provision. In this vital role, you will maintain a structured, calm, and high-expectation environment while providing targeted support—both academic and behavioural—to help students reflect, learn, and successfully reintegrate into mainstream classrooms.

About the Role

As a Learning Mentor L1 – Isolation, you will play a crucial role in maintaining school culture, high standards of behaviour, and educational continuity. You will oversee the daily operation of the internal isolation room, ensuring it remains a focused, disruption-free environment. Rather than just supervising time away from the classroom, you will actively mentor pupils to address the root causes of challenging behaviour, deliver and support work set by subject teachers, and facilitate smooth transitions back into mainstream lessons.
