We care for many women with complex needs which creates a challenging environment and provides a great opportunity for learning and development within a supportive and learning-focused team.
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic midwife to co-ordinate and lead shifts on our Delivery suite & triage, working collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team and management to provide a high-standard of safe, women-centred care.
Here at North Middlesex maternity, we can offer you a career, not just a job. Our midwives are supported in their learning and development to help them to reach their full potential. This includes secondment opportunities within specialist teams, shadowing opportunities with members of the senior team, leadership programmes fellowship
The role is multifaceted and will require an ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining safety of women and staff at all times. The postholder will need a high level of clinical experience and must act as a role model and supervisor to junior staff and students and set the tone for a healthy and safe work culture.
The role involves coordinating shifts on the labour ward & triage, assessing acuity, prioritising and delegating appropriately, being mindful of skill mix and other unit pressures, escalating concerns as required.
The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s biggest and most innovative trusts. Across three main hospitals, our dedicated army of staff care for over 1.6million patients, treat more than 200,000 in A&E, deliver over 8,000 babies and carry out more than 17million tests.
