Job Title: Primary Teacher
Location: Cardiff
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £172.98 - £175 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist ALN school based in Cardiff, CF14, supporting children aged 4 to 11 with Autism / ASD and complex learning needs. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, with a strong focus on sensory learning, learning through play and supporting each child's individual development.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated Primary Teacher on a full-time, long-term temporary basis, with an immediate start. The successful Primary Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons, using sensory activities and play-based learning to support pupils with ASD and complex needs, whilst encouraging independence, communication and personal development.
The successful Primary Teacher will have:
•
Qualified Teacher Status / QTS (NQTs are welcome to apply)
•
Experience teaching within a primary school or specialist ALN setting
•
Experience supporting children with Autism / ASD and complex additional learning needs
•
A strong understanding of sensory learning, play-based teaching and differentiated learning approaches
•
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
•
A patient, caring and adaptable approach to supporting children with diverse learning needs
