The post holder will meet and support core stakeholders within the Trust with regard to the delivery of Simulation, as agreed with the Head of Clinical Education for the Trust. The use of High Fidelity Simulation as an educational modality is continuously expanding and has proven to be beneficial in developing both technical and non-technical skills. Simulation Based Education is also an excellent opportunity to promote human factors and encourage staff to apply human factors and ergonomics science to their clinical work. The multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary nature of simulation training means that it does not fit into defined medical, nursing or allied health professional established forums but crosses into all of these and to achieve this it is important the Trust has a coordinated simulation strategy to maximise clinical benefit and underpin patient safety. The Clinical Skills and Simulation Team is dedicated to enhancing the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals, improving patient outcomes, and shaping the future of healthcare education.
