Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Nottingham
Start Date: Ongoing opportunities
Salary: £95–£110 per day, depending on experience

Teacher Active is looking to expand our pool of enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to support our partner schools across NG8, Nottingham and the surrounding areas.
We work closely with a range of mainstream primary schools and regularly receive requirements for Teaching Assistants across EYFS, Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).
With opportunities ranging from day-to-day supply and short-term cover to longer-term placements, we can help you find work that suits your experience and availability.
The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with their learning, development and wellbeing in the classroom. Depending on the school's requirements, your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks.
• Working with small groups or providing 1:1 support.
• Helping children develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Providing additional encouragement to pupils who need extra support.
• Working alongside teachers to create a positive learning environment.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have:
• Experience working with primary-aged children.
• Experience in a school, nursery or educational setting.
• A good understanding of the UK Primary Curriculum.
• Confidence supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A positive, patient and proactive approach.
• Flexibility and reliability when working across different schools.
