Temporary School Administrator
Middlesbrough
Full Time
Contract: Temporary (2nd November 2026-December 2026)
Start Date: 2nd November 2026
Hays Education are currently recruiting for a School Administrator to join a welcoming school in Middlesbrough on a full-time temporary basis through to Christmas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and professional administrator to support the smooth running of a busy school office.
Previous experience working within a school environment is desirable, and candidates must be confident communicating with staff, pupils, parents, and external visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing front-of-house reception support
- Managing incoming calls, emails, and visitor enquiries
- Maintaining pupil records and school databases
- Supporting attendance, admissions, and general administration
- Producing letters, reports, and school correspondence
- Assisting with the day-to-day running of the school office
- Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times
Requirements:
- Previous administration experience
- School-based administration experience is highly desirable
- Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office packages
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential
