Food Production Opportunities

Location: Redruth, Cornwall

Pay: £12.71 - £14.95 per hour (depending on role and experience)

We are currently recruiting for a range of opportunities within a busy food production facility in Redruth. From production and forklift roles through to leadership positions, there are opportunities available for candidates looking for long-term work and career progression.

Current Vacancies

Food Production Operatives - from £12.71 per hour

Counterbalance FLT Drivers - from £13.11 per hour

Key Operatives - £13.80 per hour, increasing to £14.20 per hour after 26 weeks

Line Leaders - up to £14.95 per hour following successful completion of training

Rates increase following a qualifying period.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday
• AM and PM shifts available
• Full-time hours
• 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Regular overtime available
• Alternate Saturday working may be required in some departments

Duties May Include

• Weighing, grading and preparing products
• Packing, labelling and sealing finished goods
• Quality control and product inspection
• Machine operation and production support
• Palletising and dispatch duties
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Forklift operation (licensed roles only)
• Completing compliance and production records
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards
• Supporting and leading small teams within production departments

Leadership Opportunities

Key Operative

An excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress into a supervisory position.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting and deputising for Line Leaders
• Leading small teams of up to 6 operatives
• Monitoring production performance and quality standards
• Completing production and stock records
• Supporting the training and development of colleagues
• Assisting with hygiene and compliance requirements

Line Leader

Responsible for leading production teams and ensuring operational targets are achieved.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading teams of 4-12 operatives
• Overseeing production, packing and palletising activities
• Maintaining food safety, GMP and health & safety standards
• Training and mentoring team members
• Completing production and stock documentation
• Leading hygiene activities and compliance checks

What We're Looking For

• Reliable and hardworking individuals
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Previous food production or manufacturing experience beneficial
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Leadership experience preferred for Key Operative and Line Leader roles
• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence required for FLT positions
