Counterbalance FLT Driver - Gloucester
At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Counterbalance FLT Driver to work with DHL UK in Gloucester. This role is essential for supporting Goods In, the yard, and the wider warehouse operation. You will be responsible for loading and unloading packaging pallets, moving materials safely, and ensuring supplies are available when needed. Please note that this is an outdoor role, so you must be comfortable working in cold, wet, and changeable weather conditions.
Shift Patterns:
* 08:00 - 17:00 | Mon - Fri | Fixed
Pay Rates:
* 13.95 GBP hourly
Essential requirements for Counterbalance FLT Driver:
* A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is mandatory.
* Previous FLT driving experience is required.
* Confident in loading and unloading pallets.
* Understanding of safe material movement in a warehouse or yard environment.
* Ability to follow health and safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping standards.
* Comfortable working outdoors in cold, wet, and changeable weather.
Skills and soft skills for Counterbalance FLT Driver:
* Previous experience working in Goods In or yard operations.
* Experience using or supporting a cardboard baler/compactor.
* Basic understanding of warehouse stock movement.
* Comfortable working during peak operational periods.
* Good communication skills and a flexible approach to wider warehouse tasks.
* Safety-focused, reliable, and punctual.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and calm under pressure.
* Good attention to detail and a team player who is comfortable working independently.
* Positive attitude and takes pride in their work.
Role responsibilities for Counterbalance FLT Driver:
* Operate Counterbalance forklift to load and unload packaging pallets.
* Support Goods In and yard operations by moving materials safely.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards across the warehouse and yard.
* Assist with the operation of the cardboard baler and compactor.
* Ensure materials are supplied to the wider warehouse team as required.
