Quantity Surveyor
Location: Flexible / Project-Based
Salary: Competitive (As per business case)
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge in major infrastructure? We are seeking a commercially aware, driven professional to join our expanding commercial team working on high-profile projects across highways, utilities, rail, and civil engineering.
Key Responsibilities
NEC Contract Administration: Oversee and manage NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, specifically Options A, B, C, and E.
Commercial Control: Lead monthly cost reporting, bottom-up forecasting, project budget preparation, and CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) reports.
Change & Valuations: Administer Compensation Events (CEs), change control processes, and monthly payment assessments.
Procurement & Subcontractor Management: Handle procurement, draft and negotiate subcontracts, and manage subcontractor and supplier accounts.
Risk & Audit: Identify commercial risks and opportunities while participating in internal and external audit reviews.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of Quantity Surveying experience within infrastructure, highways, utilities, rail, or civil engineering.
- Proven track record in administering NEC3 and NEC4 contracts (Options A, B, C, and E).
- Deep expertise in CVR reporting, monthly valuations, cost forecasting, and Compensation Events.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a wider project team.
Desirable Criteria
- Prior experience on HS2 or large-scale multi-disciplinary projects.
- Familiarity with CEMAR contract management software or Oracle R12.
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
