What will you be doing?

Your work will range from investigating system issues to making changes to the forms and workflows that guide colleagues through their day-to-day tasks. Drawing on your technical understanding or knowledge of business processes, you’ll build your understanding of social care and early help and use it to translate service requirements into practical system changes.

You’ll investigate issues affecting our Liquidlogic applications—LCS, EHM, EYES and ContrOCC—using calls logged through our service desk, Hornbill. Where supplier input is needed, you’ll liaise with System C through Jira to help progress those issues towards resolution.

Alongside this, you’ll develop your knowledge of system configuration and testing, supporting the introduction of upgrades and fixes provided by System C. Your attention to detail will help us check that changes work as intended.

You’ll also work with colleagues on tasks arising from the Families First Programme, helping us meet compliance requirements by

1 April 2027 and supporting organisational or system changes following implementation. Priorities may change, so being adaptable and comfortable working collaboratively will be important.

Whilst this role is hybrid there is a regular requirement for working in the office to ensure knowledge and support tasks associated with supporting this fixed term role.

About you

You’ll bring experience of working with case management systems that hold sensitive information, together with a careful, methodical approach to your work.

You may already have experience of Liquidlogic applications. Alternatively, you’ll be able to demonstrate transferable technical skills in configuring IT systems to meet business requirements and follow best practice. A willingness to learn and apply your knowledge to unfamiliar systems and processes will help you make the most of this opportunity.

You enjoy getting to the root of a problem, pay attention to detail and can organise your workload when several tasks need your attention. You’ll also bring a strong customer service approach demonstrating the Councils Care Values, communicating clearly with colleagues and suppliers and explaining technical issues in an understandable way.

In return, the role offers the chance to broaden your technical knowledge, build experience across our case management systems and contribute to improvements that make daily processes more efficient for the colleagues who use them.
