We are looking for a reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistant to support the kitchen team in preparing and serving meals while maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety. *Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping and preparing ingredients.

*Support the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring food is handled safely and presented appropriately.

*Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, food preparation areas and storage spaces.

*Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment, ensuring they are cleaned and stored correctly.

*Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures, including safe food handling and appropriate storage practices.

*Receive, check and store food deliveries correctly, ensuring ingredients are organised and stored at the appropriate temperatures.

*Monitor kitchen supplies and report low stock levels or shortages to the relevant staff member.

*Assist with setting up and clearing dining areas, including tables and serving stations, where required.

*Dispose of food waste and rubbish safely, following the organisation’s waste management procedures.

*Work collaboratively with chefs and other kitchen team members to ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently and on time.
