Setting: Transitional home supporting young people aged 16–18

Help young people take their next steps towards independence.

Social Care & Education is looking for caring, reliable Support Workers with experience supporting vulnerable young people to work within a transitional home in Redcar.

You will help young people develop everyday skills, build confidence and prepare for independent living, while providing consistent emotional and practical support.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily routines, cooking, budgeting and household tasks.

• Encourage participation in education, employment and training.

• Build trusting relationships and maintain professional boundaries.

• Provide emotional support and respond calmly to challenging situations.

• Follow individual support plans and safeguarding procedures.

• Complete accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues.
