Electronic Assembler
Leicester LE2
£14.50 - £15.50 per hour
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30 | Friday: 08:00 - 12:15
6-12 Month Contract
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electronic Assembler to join a leading electronics manufacturing business based in Leicester LE2. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with PCB assembly, soldering or electronics manufacturing experience seeking a long-term contract position with an early finish every Friday.
The Role
Working within a quality-driven production environment, you will be responsible for modifying Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) while following detailed technical drawings and written instructions. A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to quality is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Modifying and assembling Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).Identifying and handling miniature surface-mount components.Removing and replacing SMT components using specialist tweezers and tools.Carrying out varnishing procedures in line with specifications.Reading and following technical drawings and written instructions.Ensuring all work meets strict quality standards.Working closely with technicians and engineers to resolve production issues.Candidate RequirementsPrevious experience within electronic assembly or PCB assembly.Ability to identify electronic components and understand component polarity.Experience working with surface mount components (SMT).Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.Understanding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures.Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 standards would be advantageous.Ability to work accurately within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
