Are you ready to join a team where no two days are ever the same?

Looking for a rewarding role over the festive season? Join us onboard and become part of a team that helps create memorable journeys for thousands of guests during one of our busiest times of the year.

As a Seasonal Onboard Sales & Services Assistant (OSS), you'll experience a unique working environment where no two days are the same. Whether you're welcoming guests, serving in our restaurants, supporting our retail outlets or helping maintain high standards throughout the vessel, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional customer experiences during the festive period.

You'll become part of a close-knit onboard community, living and working alongside colleagues who support one another and work together to keep our operation running smoothly. The festive season is one of the most exciting times to be at sea, with a busy atmosphere, strong team spirit and plenty of opportunities to make a real difference to our guests' travel experience.

We're looking for welcoming, caring and reliable individuals who enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment and are happy to embrace the flexibility that comes with life onboard.

As this is a variable-hours seasonal role created to support increased passenger demand over the festive period, flexibility is essential. Successful candidates should be prepared to work across the Christmas and New Year period and be available to travel to the Port of Holyhead and join the vessel when required, sometimes at short notice to support operational requirements.

If you're looking for a unique seasonal opportunity, enjoy working as part of a supportive team and want to experience life at sea, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

Ensuring cabins are cleaned thoroughly and presented to a high standard before guests board.

Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards throughout each voyage.

Restaurants

Delivering friendly and efficient customer service.

Clearing tables and supporting food service operations.

Washing dishes and maintaining hygiene standards.

Shops

Serving customers confidently and professionally.

Operating tills and handling transactions accurately.

Keeping retail areas tidy, stocked and welcoming.

General Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service and exceed guest expectations.

Support company service standards and customer satisfaction goals.

Follow all company policies relating to safety, food safety, quality and customer experience.

Support stock and cash control procedures.

Maintain merchandising standards across retail areas.

Represent Stena Line professionally through excellent personal presentation.

Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.

Support operational requirements across different departments as needed.

Contribute to vessel cleanliness and presentation standards.

Support sales performance and KPI targets.

What You Will Experience

Life at sea is dynamic, fast-paced and rewarding. You'll work alongside a supportive team who genuinely care about each other while helping thousands of passengers enjoy their journey.

This variable-hours position has been created to support operational demand during our busy festive season. As a result, flexibility is essential. Successful candidates should be prepared to work shifts across the festive period, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays where operationally required.

Please note: Stena Line operates sailings throughout the festive season, and colleagues may be required to work on any day except Christmas Day, when our vessels do not operate.

You must also be flexible and available to travel to the Port of Holyhead and join the vessel when required, sometimes at relatively short notice to support operational needs, absence cover or increased passenger demand.

Many colleagues begin their journey in OSS and progress into long and rewarding careers across Stena Line, supported by excellent training, development and progression opportunities.
