- We have the brilliant opportunity for an Administrator to join our Streetwise Team in Newcastle! We’ve joined forces with Streetwise, and together, we’re committed to providing life-changing, person-centred support for children and young people in the heart of our communities. Streetwise has delivered information, advice, and counselling to children and young people across the North East since 1991. Its services deliver essential support to young people aged 11-25 years, including counselling, community wellbeing, school-based support and community hubs.This is a part-time (20 hours per week) role. About the jobAs our Streetwise Administrator, you will be responsible for: Responding to daily telephone enquiries and signposting as appropriateManaging referral requests and uploading relevant informationResponding to text message enquiriesOverseeing the administration email inboxHandling website enquiries and requestsOrdering and overseeing deliveries of supplies and materialsAnswering the door to visitors, including young people, families, and external practitionersCarrying out and monitoring weekly health & safety checksOrdering materials and equipment as neededOverseeing petty cash requests and processingBooking venues and accommodation for staff or eventsAbout you Minimum of five GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and MathsAt least two years’ experience in an administrative roleConfident using Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, Teams, and email systemsKnowledge of content management systems (CMS) is desirableMethodical, accurate, and detail-focused approach to tasksStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage time, prioritise workload, and meet deadlinesAble to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a teamFlexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support occasional out-of-hours meetings or eventsExperience of liaising with external providersComfortable working in a busy, changing environmentCommitted to safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protectionStrong communication skills, both written and verbalWilling to undertake further training and continuous professional developmentWhat we offer in returnWe are proud to have been recognised and certified as a Great Place to Work, which speaks volumes on how much we value our staff members.
