- Administer monthly pension contributions and payments through NEST, manage auto-enrolment requirements and submit pension declarations by statutory deadlines.

- Prepare and submit HMRC documentation, including RTI submissions, reports and year-end returns.

- Respond to payroll and finance-related telephone calls, emails and enquiries, providing guidance within agreed boundaries.

- Maintain accurate records for audits and local authority reporting, and support payroll-related invoicing and payment monitoring.

- Work closely with colleagues across Payroll, Direct Payments, Holding Accounts and Finance to maintain an accurate and responsive service.

About You

You will have:

- At least two years' experience working in a busy payroll environment.

- Experience of end-to-end payroll processing.

- Working knowledge of HMRC regulations and payroll systems.

- Strong accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills.

- Confidence using payroll and finance systems, Excel and digital filing tools.

- A clear understanding of confidentiality and data protection.

- The ability to manage your workload proactively and effectively within a part-time role.

- A commitment to equality, inclusion and the rights of disabled people and carers.

Experience using BrightPay, Xero or NEST, working in a payroll bureau or Direct Payments environment, producing payroll or financial reports, or working in a charity or social enterprise would be desirable.
