Helpdesk Co-ordinator

Enjoy keeping things organised, solving problems and making sure nothing gets missed?

Were looking for a Helpdesk Co-ordinator to join a busy facilities team in the Bolton area. You'll play an important part in keeping maintenance requests moving, coordinating with contractors and ensuring people have the information they need.

Paying £12.71 per hour, this full-time temporary opportunity would suit someone with customer service, administration or helpdesk experience who enjoys a varied role and can stay organised when things get busy. The assignment is expected to run until the end of January 2027 initially, with the possibility of an extension.

What will you be doing as a Helpdesk Co-ordinator?

  • Managing incoming and outgoing calls, responding to enquiries and directing requests to the right people
  • Keeping in contact with site representatives, providing updates and helping resolve queries
  • Liaising with contractors to coordinate maintenance work and agree arrangements.
  • Logging maintenance requests accurately and ensuring all relevant details are recorded
  • Arranging parts and helping ensure the necessary items are available for jobs to progress
  • Taking messages and passing on information promptly to the appropriate contacts.
  • Updating records and systems to keep information accurate and up to date
  • Prioritising requests, managing competing tasks and working towards targets and deadlines

What's in it for you?

  • £12.71 per hour, with a clear hourly rate
  • Monday-to-Friday working, offering a consistent weekday schedule
  • 37 hours per week, with working hours falling between 8am and 5.30pm
  • A varied workload, combining customer service, administration and coordination
  • Valuable experience working within a facilities team and coordinating maintenance requests
  • An assignment until the end of January 2027 initially, with the potential for an extension

Why would you join this company?

You'll be joining an established organisation with a facilities team responsible for coordinating maintenance and helping its sites run smoothly.

The team plays an important role in connecting site contacts with contractors, ensuring requests are recorded correctly and helping work progress efficiently. It's an opportunity to contribute to a busy support function where good communication, organisation and attention to detail make a real difference.

What we're looking for

What's essential:

  • A professional telephone manner and confident communication skills
  • Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Strong organisational skills and effective time management
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise requests and meet deadlines

  • The ability to work towards targets in a busy environment

What's helpful but not essential:

  • Previous experience in a helpdesk, customer service or administration role
  • Experience handling a high volume of calls or enquiries
  • Experience coordinating contractors, maintenance requests or job bookings
