What will the Cost Accountant role involve?

• Managing cost accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance across different stock categories

• Conducting stock reconciliations, analysing trends, and investigating discrepancies to uphold data integrity

• Partnering with operational teams to optimise inventory valuation and control procedures

• Supporting reporting, forecasting, and month-end closing activities related to inventory

• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing inventory accuracy and efficiency

Suitable Candidate for the Cost Accountant vacancy:

• Experience in a manufacturing, inventory with a detailed understanding of cost accounting and WIP management

• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP systems, ideally Business Central

• A professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or relevant experience

• Confident communicator with outstanding relationship-building abilities

• Demonstrates a proactive approach towards process improvements and problem solving
