Nursery Practitioner – Saffron Walden

Part-Time & Full-Time Positions Available | 8:00am–6:00pm

Are you looking for your next opportunity in Early Years? TeacherActive is recruiting a dedicated

Nursery Practitioner to join one of the UK's leading nursery providers in Saffron Walden.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established nursery setting that values children's learning, development and wellbeing. With both part-time and full-time positions available, this role offers flexibility for candidates looking to develop their career in childcare.

THE ROLE – NURSERY PRACTITIONER

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, play and develop.

Working alongside an experienced nursery team, your responsibilities will include:

    •

Supporting children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

    •

Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.

    •

Supporting children's communication, social skills and emotional development.

    •

Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

    •

Assisting with daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care and indoor and outdoor play.

    •

Maintaining a safe environment and following safeguarding procedures at all times.

    •

Supporting children's individual needs and helping them reach their developmental milestones.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    For this

Nursery Practitioner position, candidates applying for qualified roles must hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.

    Relevant qualifications may include:

      •

Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners.

      •

Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Educators.

      •

Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or an equivalent recognised childcare qualification.

      •

Other recognised and accepted Early Years qualifications, subject to the nursery's requirements.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate that their qualification meets the requirements for the position and, where applicable, counts towards the nursery's required staffing ratios.

Previous experience working in a nursery, preschool or early years environment is desirable. Experience supporting different age groups and working in line with the EYFS framework would be beneficial. However, we also welcome applications from candidates who have the relevant qualifications but are looking to build their experience.

For candidates without a recognised childcare qualification, eligibility will depend on the specific vacancy and the nursery's requirements.

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, reliable, caring and passionate about helping children learn and develop.
