About

  • SEND Lecturer | Make everyday learning count

    £40 per hour (umbrella), RM7

    Monday to Thursday · 28.8 hours per week · 1 December 2026 to 2 July 2027

How would you turn an everyday task into a lesson that sticks?

It might be using a shopping budget to practise Maths or helping a learner build the confidence to ask for help. If you enjoy making lessons practical and finding an approach that works for each learner, this could be your next role.

Morgan Hunt is looking for a

    SEND Lecturer to join the

Horizons provision at a further education college in Romford. You'll work with learners aged

14 to 19, adapting activities so everyone can take part, teaching Functional Skills English or Maths, and helping learners recognise their progress. You'll also use a patient, positive approach to support learners who display challenging behaviour.

Is this role a good fit for you?

    • You hold a

PGCE, QTS or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training

    • You've taught SEND learners in further education

    • You've supported learners aged 14 to 19 who display challenging behaviour

    • You have recent experience teaching and assessing

      Functional Skills English or Maths

    • You have strong safeguarding knowledge and an

enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

    Your working week

Your 28.8 hours are split between

    18.4 teaching hours and

10.4 hours for non-teaching duties. The college has listed onsite attendance as

Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 5pm, with the exact timetable to be confirmed.

    Please have your

teaching qualification certificate ready to share before your Teams interview.

Fancy a chat about the role? Send your updated CV to

Sophie at Morgan Hunt. I'd love to hear about the learners you've supported and what you're looking for next.
