Bangor University School of Health Sciences is offering an exciting opportunity for an aspiring or experienced lecturer (Teaching & Scholarship) to join our academic team, which is committed to the delivery of high quality, evidence informed academic programmes.

This permanent, part-time post will focus on the delivery of healthcare education with the prime focus of leading the critical care course for nurses working within Intensive Care Units (ITU) with input into enhanced/advanced practice, for post-registration health care practitioners at postgraduate level. We offer a diverse range of full and part-time postgraduate programmes.

At Bangor University we offer a stimulating environment and support to enable you to fulfil your professional ambitions. Available at Grade 7 or 8 (dependant on qualifications) this post provides an opportunity for experienced candidates to be part of an enthusiastic team to take our programmes forward in line with a range of regulatory approvals and to support student learning. This post is available on our teaching and scholarship career track, and the successful candidate will have opportunities to contribute to teaching and learning across the School’s portfolio.

Candidates will have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and hold a relevant critical care post-registration qualification.

The School aims to champion and promote excellent health and social care science, research, scholarship, teaching and learning, quality and values with people who use services, practitioners, and stakeholders. To promote language and cultural competence relevant to local, national and international partners, and to provide an inclusive culture and environment for staff and students within the School.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible.

This post is subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.

Applications will only be accepted via our on-line recruitment website, jobs.bangor.ac.uk. However, in cases of access issues due to disability, paper application forms are available by telephoning 01248 383865.

Informal enquiries about the post can be made to Julie Lunt, Director of Post Registration Taught Studies: julie.lunt@bangor.ac.uk
