Food Production Operative

Fancy making doughnuts for a living?

At Krispy Kreme, we create little moments of joy every day - and it starts with our production team. We’re looking for reliable, hands-on people who take pride in getting things right.

This is a physically demanding role, involving heavy lifting, repetitive tasks and long periods on your feet. You’ll handle bags of ingredients weighing up to 25kg and once trained, operate production machinery independently, following recipes and specifications accurately to keep every batch consistent.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Weighing and mixing large batches of dough, following exact recipes, quantities and mixing times.

• Regularly lifting and moving heavy ingredients, including 25kg bags of flour, using safe handling procedures.

• Setting up, operating and monitoring production machinery independently once trained, following safety procedures throughout.

• Keeping a close eye on dough quality, machine settings and timings, spotting anything that isn’t right and raising it promptly.

• Supporting the proofing, frying and production of our iconic doughnuts in a busy environment.

• Cleaning machinery and production areas thoroughly, including end-of-shift cleaning, to maintain food hygiene standards.

We’d Love to Hear From You if You:

• Are comfortable with heavy, physical and repetitive work, including being on your feet for much of your shift.

• Have a keen eye for detail and can follow written recipes, specification cards and instructions accurately.

• Can stay focused when carrying out repetitive tasks - quality matters in every batch.

• Are comfortable taking responsibility for operating your own machine once trained, while working as part of the wider team.

• Can work flexible shifts across seven days, including weekends.

• Are reliable, keen to learn and bring a positive, can-do attitude.

Job Specific Details:

Shift days: Any 3 to 5 days over 7

Shift times: 16:00 - 22:00

Hours:  15 -

 30 hours/ week

Food production experience is welcome, but we’re also keen to hear from people ready to learn and take on a hands-on challenge.
