PS LTD are recruiting for Class 2 drivers to work on a full time permanent contract out of Newton Aycliffe (DL5)
We are recruiting 3 permanent drivers to work Monday to Friday.
We have 2 day run vacancies and 1 vacancy that requires 1-2 nights out a week.
You will be working on a kitchen carcass delivery contract making 2-4 delivers per shift.
You will also be allocated your own vehicle.
Duties
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV lorry ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Excecute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely collection and drop-off of goods.
- Secure loads properly on the flatbed, adhering to safety standards to prevent damage or accidents during transit.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs as required by company procedures - this is typically via their internal app.
- Communicate effectively with transport team regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 licence
- Minimum 1 year driving experience
- Valid drivers CPC and digi card
WEEKLY PAY - £16.70 per hour
You will be supplied with branded PPE after your first 2 weeks and allocated vehicle that will be yours!
