Based at Fairmuir House, 365 Clepington Road, you will work full time, 37 hours for a fixed term of 4 years.
The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area. Funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19 or disabled/care experienced applicants up to the age of 29. You will have 3 National 4s, including English, Maths and one other relevant subject (for example: Craft & Design or Technological Studies) and/or Supported industrial experience such as Skill Development Scotland "Get Ready for Work" initiative including completion of relevant Pre-Apprentice Scheme (National Progression Award).Responsibilities
You will be working under the direct instruction of a tradesperson, to develop the skills and knowledge for the chosen trade, whilst demonstrating an enthusiasm and willingness to achieve a high degree of competency. You will also undertake college studies and must complete the chosen development training programme.The Individual
You will have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative and have good communication skills.
