To assist the Clinical Engineering team to provide technical support in all aspects relating to the preventative maintenance, inspection, repair and calibration of a wide range of patient-critical medical equipment; in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with departmental procedures, Trust policies, statutory regulations and the MHRAs Managing Medical Devices April 2015 edition. Carryout planned preventative maintenance and performance checks to manufacturers specification including electrical safety testing. Effective fault finding and repairs of electrical and electronic medical equipment. Acceptance testing planned maintenance and corrective repairs of medical equipment in accordance with the MHRA and OEM documentation. Respond to emergency calls as a priority.
