Are you ready to take the next step in your career and make a real impact?

We are looking for motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team in a rewarding role where your skills and dedication will be truly valued.

This is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a supportive environment, contribute to a dynamic organisation, and develop your career with a company that recognises and rewards hard work.

If you’re passionate about what you do and eager to be part of a team driven by success, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of goods using company vans and light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes. You will spend a significant amount of time at customer, supplier, and third-party locations and will act as an ambassador for OnLogistics at all times.

You will be the primary point of contact when delivering or collecting goods and will be expected to provide excellent customer service, maintain professional standards, and represent the company positively. This role includes both single-drop and multi-drop deliveries and requires a flexible approach to working hours and customer requirements.

Role Specific Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vans and light commercial vehicles in accordance with road traffic legislation and company policies.

• Complete daily vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.

• Collect, load, unload, and deliver goods accurately and safely.

• Ensure all goods are securely loaded and protected during transit.

• Follow planned delivery routes whilst adapting to traffic, road conditions, and customer requirements when necessary.

• Use satellite navigation systems and local geographical knowledge to maximise delivery efficiency.

• Complete all deliveries and collections within agreed timescales where reasonably practicable.

• Operate tail lifts, pump trucks, and other approved equipment safely where required.

• Maintain accurate delivery records, proof of delivery documentation, mileage records, and vehicle check sheets.

• Ensure goods are delivered in excellent condition and any issues are reported immediately.

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

• Keep vehicles clean, presentable, and roadworthy.

• Report incidents, accidents, near misses, vehicle defects, delays, or customer concerns to the Transport Planner or Transport Manager.

• Follow all manual handling procedures and safe systems of work.
