About

Experienced Scheuerle SPMT Operator – UK Wide | Permanent | Up to £30/hr + Overtime

If you’re an experienced Scheuerle Self‑Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT) Operator looking for a permanent role with exceptional earning potential and varied project work, this is an excellent opportunity to join a world‑leading heavy‑lift and transport organisation. You’ll work on major infrastructure, renewables and industrial projects across the UK, operating advanced Scheuerle SPMT equipment as part of an expert engineering team.

Please note: To be considered for this position, you must have at least three years’ hands‑on experience operating Scheuerle SPMTs and hold a valid Blue CPCS qualification.

Salary

Up to £30 per hour (DOE) + overtime

Estimated OTE: £65,000–£100,000 per year

Location and Working Pattern

UK‑wide, permanent, full‑time.

This role involves travel and working away from home at various project sites. It will suit a capable operator who enjoys variety, teamwork and delivering complex heavy‑transport solutions across diverse locations.

Client Overview

Our client is a global heavy‑lift and transport organisation delivering complex heavy‑equipment movements for major infrastructure, renewables and industrial projects across the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

- Prepare SPMT equipment, including loading, unloading, assembly and disassembly

- Operate Scheuerle SPMT units in line with project specifications and safety procedures

- Execute complex load movements safely and efficiently on varied sites

- Carry out routine and preventative maintenance to keep equipment operational

- Follow safety procedures and reporting standards

- Work closely with project teams to deliver heavy‑lift operations on time and to specification

Must‑have Requirements

- Minimum of three years’ direct Scheuerle SPMT operating experience

- Valid Blue CPCS qualification

- Background in heavy transport, rigging or heavy‑equipment operations

- Full UK driving licence

- Understanding of hydraulics, mechanical systems and electrical schematics

- Relevant industry safety certification (for example, Safety Passport)

- Flexibility to travel and work away from home across the UK

- CCNSG Safety Passport

- IPAF qualification
